Our Story!
Welcome to RockN Roaches, where my passion for reptiles began as a youngster in the 80's with a Jackson's Chameleon and desert tortoise. In the early 90's I kept a variety of reptiles. Fast forward almost 30 years of not keeping any reptiles to early 2018 and within a few months had 3 Bearded Dragons and several geckos. I bought my first Dubia roach feeders and boy o' boy, my animals went through them quickly, I knew I needed to produce my own so they had what they needed when they needed it. We started selling locally in 2019 and haven't looked back! It was a way to "support" our hobby for upgrades and maintenance. In 2020, we began toying with the idea to start a feeder business as we kept several types of feeders for our animals but we all know what happened in 2020! Late 2021, we settled on the RockN Roaches name and we signed up for our 1st official show with the amazing Ramy and his Reptile Super Show. Personal issues actually required us to
miss our 1st show but we came back strong and vended 3 shows that year!
From day 1 our animals nutrition has been top priority as their diet depends on us! Caging, lighting and heat are just as equally important but once you have those dialed in you can do regular maintenance. Your reptile babies need their proper nutrition regularly and a lot of times on the daily! We wouldn't provide a feeder we don't feel comfortable feeding our own pets. If we aren't satisfied we know you won't be either so if you are looking for high-quality feeders that’s what we provide. We regularly feed a wide variety of vegetables/fruits and our fantastic chow to maintain the proper nutrient intake for your pets! We never ever feed zero or little nutrient rich foods for the sake of filling our feeders bellies or hydration to plump them up. Working in the food industry for several years we have access to produce distributors and know when to get items that are in season. This helps procure the best ingredients not only for our feeders, but our own pets regularly while keeping costs down.
A few things we say around here all the time:
1. "If we didn't produce it we don't sell it".. Unless specifically noted, we'll always stick to providing you feeders we produced. It's the only way we know what you are getting its fully loaded with proper nutrients!!
2. "We aren't the cheapest and we certainly aren't the most expensive, but our roaches are well feed and weigh heavy so give us a try!"
2. "Family and Friends are the most important". Ask any and all questions, we want to be part of your reptile family!
